Alexandru Grumeza explaines for whom is the category PID sitting, and who needs to armwrestle standing

Most of the athletes with musculoskeletal problems want to pull sitting.

Doctor, PI Classifire World Armwrestling Federation (WAF), Alexandru Grumeza explaines for whom is the category PID sitting, and who needs to armwrestle standing.

"The WAF Classification Code describes the criteria (7 states) that allow an athlete to compete sitting. But, more simply, if an athlete can move, or even stand with one-sided support, he must fight standing up! Some athletes mistakenly believe that they can choose their own class based on the position they feel more comfortable pulling in, or in what position they pull better.

Classifiers Committee, after an objective assessment of the physical condition and medical records, decides on assigning the class. There are cases when the athlete is initially determined to fight in one class, but after observing his performance directly at the competitions, the class can be changed, just in order to keep equal conditions of the competition with equal opportunities." - Disabled World Cup - Poland
