Gala of Armwrestling Moldova 2017


The Moldovan Armwrestling Gala was celebrated with style in Chisinau. On January 12, 2018, the National Armwrestling Federation of Moldova made its 2017 totals!

After a year in which they won a lot of medals at the European and World Championships, the athletes were awarded by the Federation with diplomas, cups and gifts. About 55 people nominated for various categories, including the best athletes, coaches, referees, and other people who contributed to the promotion of this sport, were mentioned, and more than half of them were awarded with valuable prizes from evening partners: Rinaldi House, Avon, Daria Room, ZOOVIP, McDonals, Petrovskaia Sloboda, Burn, MedGlobalFarm and ElitConstruct!

Becoming a European and World Champion in 2017 and Professionals Armwrestling World Cup winner Daniel Procopciuc has been awarded the title of the best Moldavian Armwrestler of the Year. 

The best Moldavian Female Armwrestler of the year was Mihaela Lazari (absolute champion in the Republic of Moldova; European vice-champion and world vice-champion in youth).

The best juniors athletes were the European and World Youth Champion Oleg Tudorean and at the girls: Valeria Chipăruş (world vice-champion in youth).

The title of the best male coach was given to Lilian Oprea, and the best female coach, to Mihail Grumeza.

The best sportsman with disabilities: Vladimir Butucea, European vice-champion and World vice-champion.

Best referee - Ioan Alexei.

At the gala, many diaspora athletes were awarded, including Denis Pancu from France, Ivan Virlan from Italy, Dumitru Cojocaru from Germany, and Vadim Gherman from the United States.

The Moldovan Armwrestling Laureates Gala was organized for the first time.
